What a great weekend in the 1969 House. On Saturday, Mama 1969 rolled into town to spend the day with us. Of course, she had me running around like a crazy woman doing lots of shopping. As always, we had a ball. After she left that afternoon, the boys ended up going out with friends to the park.
Mr. 1969 and I actually had a few hours to ourselves so we ran off to see Iron Man 2. (The last movie we saw together alone was Slumdog Millionaire about three years ago-sigh). To hell with the critics, I enjoyed the movie. I love Robert Downey Junior. Scarlett Johannsen kicked azz. Mickey Rourke is scary as hell. Go check it out.
Sunday was Mothers Day and I woke up at 6am, left the house at 6:30am and headed out to run my race. I must say, before the race I was really worried. My lower back was killing me and I didn’t think I would be able to do it. I took some morning aspirin. I stretched really well and got out there and lo and behold, it was actually easy this time. I may be getting the hang of this running thing. LOL
I ran with my Soror (it was her first race) and guess what? We both finished in great time. Congrats to her as well!
After the race, I came home to so much love from the 1969 men. A great lunch, cards, candy, flowers and a nice two hour nap on the couch. Perfect!
This morning….my Tali 2′s Birthday. I almost cried this morning at the thought of my little baby turning into a REAL LIFE BOY. Now you know that Tali 2 is NOT a morning person right? He usually walks into school and I have to force him to say good morning. Uh yeah…..not today.
My boy walked into school and stood there waiting. After realizing that no one was acknowledging him….he announced loudly “HELLO GUYS. TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY AND I AM 5!” LMAO…..that is so my kid.
Today will be busy as I am working on a project but will also be dropping off pizza and cake for Tali 2 for his lunchtime school extravaganza.
I can’t believe how much my baby has grown and he’s learning to not be as angry as he was for the last four years
He is such a sweet kid and so intelligent. He reads on a 2nd grade level. He is great at math. He loves to play and he loves his family. I couldn’t ask for more.
Happy Birthday Tali 2. Mommy loves you so much. What a great weekend.

Lol! Learning not to be as angry! Happy Birthday to you oh leader of the anti-cold pants revolution!
His daddy did Iron his pants this morning….LOL. Hey, it IS his birthday.
Happy Birthday Tali 2!
Happy Mother’s Day to you. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your weekend with the family.
Happy Birthday Tali2! He is so adorable even though he’s not a morning person.
Happy Birthday Tali 2, from one Taurus non-morning person to another!!! LOL
Happy birthday tali 2. 5 is a big deal.
Happy Birthday to Tali 2! Being 5 is awesome!

Happy Birthday Tali 2!
Happy Mother’s Day 1969!
Umm, I just hope you didn’t go to that Dunkin’ Donuts in your run gear. You may have given those old men coronaries!! LOL
It’s the tights right?
It’s not the tights; it’s what the tights are holding! You know old men can’t drink coffee and get thigh’ed to death at the same time!
LMAO! All that running is working wonders for me. Thanks for the validation.
Wow! They are getting SO big! Happy birthday, T2!
Happy Belated Tali 2!!!!!!
Happy belated Tali 2. I swear your kid takes the best pictures EVER! LOL!!
