I am sure most of you don’t watch Project Runway but I love this show. It continually amazes me how creative these contestants can be. They are all fashion designers and they want to win a chance to debut a collection at Fashion Week in NYC. In addition, they win a chunk of prize money to get their labels up and running.
Every week, they are given a design task and last night’s blew me away. They had to create an outfit out of NEWSPAPER. The winner totally impressed me. Can you believe she made this fierce coat completely out of newspaper?

I’m a fan of PR! This coat was AMAZING! I watch the show every week along with the spinoff Models of the Runway.
I hate Models of the Runway but I never miss PR. That coat was soooo fabulous.

I guess I just love fashion and the creative process. To get a stack of newspapers and have to make an outfit is crazy to me. Then when you pull out a coat like this? Unbelievable!! I love this show.
I am a PR fanatic… but I haven’t watched yesterday’s yet… It’s safely waiting for me on my “catch up on all my weekly shows” friday night line-up!

I don’t sew a stitch, but I love this show! Last night blew me away. And the one guy who lied through his teeth..too much! Glad he got booted.
Tim Gunn was so pissed off….he didn’t give him a hug at the end. LOL
All he said was “go clean out your workstation”.
I LOVE PR ~ and can’t sew a stitch or put together an outfit beyond jeans and a t-shirt! I thought the pleated dress was so pretty. That lying dude so deserved to go home. I was shocked at his pissy, nonchalant attitude.
you know i’d been waiting for this ep!!!! the skyscraper dress as i call it was def. one of my faves. i also liked the one that looked like it had been dipped in red– carole hannah’s. PR rocks my world!!! models of the runway is garbage. i saw :30 of one episode and was bored and disgusted. i’ve never understood the point of the model competition on PR. they’re not sent home if they walk badly, they’re sent home b/c of the designer’s work… stupid.
Agreed. I could care less about the models. It’s all about the fashion!! I thought Carole Hannah’s was good too.
I’m sad to hear you hate Models of the Runway, we worked very hard on it, but then again Runway is a difficult show to follow…Working on the show and seeing those fashions up close was one of the most amazing experience ever!!
I can’t wait until it comes back to LA so I can do it again!!
