People…..let me tell you about San Antonio….IT’S HOT! When we arrived it was 103 degrees and the city was experiencing it’s 25th straight day over 100 degrees. The SHADE was hot. God Bless my folks from Texas!

So after our flight, Needy McNeedy and I arrived at the hotel and had nothing to do until dinner time. Immediately, she said she was going shopping. Uh…it’s 104 degrees and Hot as Blazes. Where did your girl end up?

Business by the pool

Exactly. Pool side. Who would want to walk around hot, dusty San Antonio in the blazing sun only to buy the same items you can buy at home? *sigh* Besides, I needed a break from my buddy. She grabbed my arm during takeoff and held onto it firmly whilst letting me know that she is not a good flyer. I kindly let her know that if our plane crashes, my arm really wouldn’t be able to do that much for her but she held on anyway.

After the pool, I got ready to head out to dinner. My favorite thing about San Antonio? The best Tex-Mex and Mexican food ever. And my other favorite thing?

Margarita

You already know! LOL

We met with clients all day the next day and flew back. I ignored the hand grabbing my arm, plugged in my Ipod and started reading my book and soon three hours later, I was back in Philly. You know who I missed the most while I was away? My Talis.

On the work front, we post for jobs this week and the interview stage will begin the last week in July. Yesterday, I received a very odd phone call.

It was from the assistant of the CEO of my hotel company. YES….the ENTIRE company. She told me that “Mr. Big Cheese” needed to set-up an appointment to call me. You know I almost died on the phone right? I started replaying all the horrible things I had done with the company and wondered if I was finally busted. Either way, I am expecting his call at exactly 10am today. I will let you all know what it was about as soon as I find out. Stay tuned……………..

****UPDATE*********

The Big Cheese personally called me because of my Sales Numbers for the first two quarters. (I am blowing away my goal right now.) He congratulated me on being a sales superstar in a tough economy and even chatted with me about my family. There aren’t too many companies where the CEO will call you and say thank you for doing a good job so it’s pretty awesome. Today, I love my job.
