My boss resigned last week. You know what that means right? Yup, I am currently doing two jobs.
It also means I will be flying out to San Antonio on Monday for a sales call he was supposed to do. *sigh* It’s 110 degrees in San Antonio right now.
Suffice it to say….things are hectic at work right now but I am embracing it and will work all of this to my advantage somehow. To quote Tali 2…”I’m sneaky, right?”
In August, the entire sales team for my company will be going through restructuring. All of the sales folks will be re-posting for jobs as all of the job titles will be changing. Although it is very stressful, I am excited because it means a new opportunity on the horizon. Hopefully, I will land the right job at the right time.
When I didn’t get the job last time….I was bummed out about it but clearly….I was made to come over here so I could add to my resume and increase my worth. You never know why things happen but I definitely know that big things are looming on the horizon and that I am being led to a great opportunity.
Now back to my trip to Texas…..I am flying down there with another co-worker who is….*ahem* very needy. Four hours on a plane people. Four hours. Eight if you count the return flight.
You already know.
Have a great weekend. We will catch up when I get back on Wednesday.

Resigned? In this economy? Yeah, you really are where you were meant to be. Just turn your inner Clair on and smile thru it all. As for the long flight, take 1/2 a Xanax!

Love the Tali 2 quote. Yes, you were ordained to be here. As for the trip… Do you have to sit together? Maybe you can slip some Ambien in their beverage.

Go online and check out the plane’s seating chart. I’ve changed my seat a few times to avoid chatty co-workers.

Travel safe. Try to have some fun. Stay inside until sundown. As far as your co-worker…drink plenty of FLUIDS on the plane.

Have a safe trip. Don’t hurt anyone, and don’t go out during the daytime. Seriously, that was pretty much the only way I survived the Texas summers.

You sit in the front of the plane and she/he sits in the back. Do not be near one another. Has helped me in the past. Enjoy your trip!
