While it was certainly a beautiful day to be one with nature, I woke up today with a massive headache and my eyes closed shut due to my allergies. UGH!

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the bug lady. Did you know the trip was solely to look at various insects and bugs? **cricket** Neither did I…sigh. Oh well, I got my bug game face on and was ready. Here is the crew learning what it’s like to see things through a bee’s eyes.

Here are the bug inspectors, checking the swamp pond for dragonflies, spiders, mosquitos carrying west nile virus and other insects.

Your boy Tali 1 took his bug inspecting VERY seriously.

My little dragonflies playing follow the bug lady.
The best part was that Tali 1 was soooo excited that I was there. The parents attending the trip were waiting in another room. When they finally walked us into the classroom, his whole face lit up. His teacher said “If you see your guest here, walk over and stand next to them.” He was so excited to walk over and stand next to me. The look on his face was priceless. LOL
When it was his turn to introduce his guest, he said “This is my mom. You can all call her MRS. 1969!” You know, just in case those little kids got too familiar with his mama.
We sat next to each other on the bus and all in all, it was worth my allergy explosion to have him look like this on the bus ride back to school…

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got goosebumps while reading – I remember how happy I was whenever my mom came to visit me at school…until I got older and realized that her wigs weren’t so cool. So I would insist that she didn’t wear a wig whenever she came to visit
.
Tali 1 looks sooooooooo happy!
Not the wigs??? I am LMAO over here!!!!
Darling!
That’s what it’s all about! That lice picture is PRICELESS!
LOL @ heartdrops and her mama’s wigs! Hilarious!
lice = last… ROFL
I’m tripping imagining him like, “Yeah, this my guest that’s right.”
His chest was all puffed out. LOL
The other kids said “This is my mom, Miss Nancy. This is my dad, Mr. Jack. Not him….”MRS. 1969…don’t get it twisted.” LOL
Good MOMS make good MEN. Thanks Mrs. 1969 (lol) for sharing your beautiful day. Smooches
reading this almost makes me regret not going on the nature center field trip this year….almost, LOL!
