I love sports. I love what sports represents. Hard work, dedication and determination.
To excel at a sport, you have to work at your craft. You have to train, study, develop your strengths. You have to take on an opponent and outplay, outlast and outwit them. You have to believe that you can win. You have to have confidence and never give up.
This weekend, I watched the ultimate champion in a historic, defining championship. Even if you aren’t a fan of golf, you had to be in awe of Tig.er Wo.ods.
I have followed Ti.ger’s career since he started. I somehow just knew that this kid was destined for greatness. He had that aura about him. From the first time he slipped on that green jacket to yesterday’s hard fought victory, Tiger has proven that he is a winner.
To watch him play this past weekend in excrutiating pain and deliver horrible shots that could have made anyone just give up…..only to return with what can only be described as incredible shots. Putts that were unreal in their accuracy. Forcing the sudden death yesterday and snatching the victory from his opponent.
His will to NOT BE BEATEN is inspiring. He is the epitome of what sports is all about. Total strength of will. Thanks for a great tournament Ti.ge.r.

Ti.ger is extraordinary! Yesterday afternoon I was a mess watching the playoff and then the sudden death, while simultaneously texting with my Dad and Brother. It was awesome!

It was AWESOME! I have seen “the shot” about five times since he made it. That dude is SCARY! I mean really…KNEE SURGERY! KNEE SURGERY! And then win a damn MAJOR???????
Phil is in the lead by 4 majors. Tiger is ON.DAT.AZZ!

Tiger did his thing. I can’t imagine competing at all, much less at the highest level, one one knee.
And Phil Mickleson only wishes he’d won more majors than Tiger.

I do not understand golf too well but I’m glad I caught the last 30 minutes of the playoff. The sudden death was a knuckle gripper and gosh, his level of focus and drive was just amazing.

I’m a Basketball lover so….. CONGRATULATIONS to the Boston Celtics.
Especially Paul Pierce, 10 years of hanging with the Green, well worth it!
Kevin Garnett, timing and placement are everything!
Ray Allen, best jump shooter in the game!
I still wish the Sixers or the Wizards had been smart enough to get Kevin…*sigh*

Tiger is THE ONLY reason golf is worth watching!
He OWNS that game. LoL
And yes, Boston Killed it last night…KG’s emotional reaction was very touching…
I feel you. Sports are much more than a game, and I was explaining exactly that to my oldest just last night.
