I am up watching history. Mr. O.ba.ma has clinched the Democratic Nomination for President. Next stop the White House. YES WE CAN.
The pride I feel is unbelieveable. I can’t believe that I am watching this in my lifetime. What this means to me, my sons and my family is undescribable.
I am so proud of America. We voted and we spoke on it. The change is coming.

Ditto, I agree and all that. My question is this…can someone make Hillary go away now? Please? I don’t want to see her anymore.

There is a change coming, however, do the people really want change?
We are a divided country:
– We don’t support the war, but we support the troops
– We don’t want to withdraw from Iraq because the terrorists will setup shop, but we are the direct cause of the terrorism already there
– We want more troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we are not in favor of reinstating the military draft
– We want well maintained bridges and roads, but we are not willing to pay for them; i.e. Does anybody want to lease a highway/turnpike?
– We want good schools/fire department/police- all services, but we do not want our taxes to increase
And I could go on and on…
Please excuse me for being a pessimist, but I pray that if Obama is victorious in the general election, he can implement the programs/causes that he has been mentioning throughout his campaign. Lord knows he will have little to no help from the Republicans and the Democrats will be plotting behind his back.

I am stunned, absolutely stunned. I was telling my kids this morning, and I almost cried.

i got called into a meeting for a new project while he was delivering his speech and I was a little put off that everyone in the world wasn’t tuning into to history being made.
I am soo proud. My poster hangs on my wall and I look at this face and see the face of hope and change.
His name means “blessed one” in Arabic and he is indeed blessed, this is his destiny to be written up in history books and to impart the spirit of change within us all.
I believed in this day for many many years…he’s been spoken of as our first Black President since his run for Senate and my underemployed ass is about to donate another $25 to his campaign.

Never did I EVER believe I’d see this day in my lifetime…and I’m not even that old! Proud is such an understatement. I wonder if even HE understands the enormity of his nomination.

I’m stoked, but we still have some battles ahead. And, um, Hillary can go now.

Um … I’m not too sure about the proud of America thing. White working class voters need hands laid on them. But for now I’m happy for Obama, and hopeful for the nation.
