Greetings from Baltimore. Today’s conference took place on a gorgeous day and I didn’t have a chance to get outside once. *sigh*
I hate travelling with the entire team. They expect team dinners, drinks together……I was just looking forward to chilling in my hotel room all by myself.
Today was tough. The oldest Tali started crying when it was time for me to go. “I don’t want you to go mommy. I am gonna miss you very much.”
Then after he started crying….the little Tali started crying “I wanna go wif you Mommy!”
I used to be on the road every month before my sons were born. I loved travelling. I loved being in different cities. Dinners, cocktails. Always so much excitement.
Since I had my boys? I hate it. In this new job, I might travel twice a year….and now I resent the time away from my family.
Funny how life changes you huh?

that’s beautiful! My mother tells me about how she travelled a lot when I was really young – toddler age I guess. She said that it got to a point that I was always talking about what my pre-school teacher did and going, “well Mrs. Harris said…” as if she was my mother. Mommy said eventually that and the travel really started wearing down on her so she took a job that required way less travel.
I obviously don’t remember it and I can only imagine how that feels for you! And it must be hard on the kiddies to be away from such a wonderful mommy

I totally understand. I just took my two halfway around the world by myself because I couldn’t bear going home without them. The little ones can break you down with their crying. I’m surprised you didn’t start bawling too.

Even someone like me who threatens kids with duct tape doesn’t want to deal with the crying.
BTW…if someone tries to convince you to go to Lexington Market beware…you might find some good food…you will find some characters.

It was a beautiful day in the city yesterday. Let me know if you want some Baltimore sight seeing/dining tips as you are in my neck of the woods.

I thought travel would be easier when the kids are older.
It isn’t…… sorry

Amadeo…I lived here for three years so I am well aware of the perils of Lexington Market. But they do serve the best chicken wings and UTZ chips!

Awww. Just think about how big your boys smiles will be when you get back. There’s nothing like Mommy!

Los Angelista
I used to have to travel a lot for work as well and I don’t miss it. The kids would cry and cry but they always showed up at LAX with daddy and flowers for me. Loved that part!

Los Angelista might’a threw in a “plug” if only Mr1969 was reading while you were away. *lol* I want to experience what you are experiencing to “See” if I would be heart broken. Then I think why waste my time. I don’t think I would be in the least. That is the joy of two parents. The kids will be fine. Although I know there is nothing like a mommy’s TLC and cooking! *lol*
BTW, do you micromanage the mister as it relates to the kids needs and wants while away? MP will make school lunch for the kids for me sometime and I will see him pull out the PBJ. I immediately start: LP doesn’t like PB or apple jelly, BP likes any jelly you put on and she will eat an end bread (like her non-wasteful mommy:), MLP doesn’t like apple jelly either, or end bread he likes butter on the side with is PB, etc. MP be like, “Hell, do YOUR ass wanna make the sandwichs?” *LMBAO* I shut up quick!

Eh…
WOMAN UP (that’s the equivalent to you saying “man up”).
“WE” men got this. So what the kids might get to pick out their own clothes for a day or two or three.
What’s the worse that can happen?!?!?

The talis are so cute. I don’t blame you for not wanting to be away from them.
